The Beautiful Life - Mischa Barton

I watched the new premiere tonight which is executively produced by Ashton Kutcher. It was so nice to see Mischa Barton back on TV. So far the storyline is interesting. Lots of glimpses into "high life", well not really. I live in Southern California and have seen parties a lot more posh and professional.


Well, I'm nonetheless happy to see Mischa back on TV again. :)

WOKF - Introduction to New Pets

The World of Kung Fu online MMORPG introduces new servants - Boy Servant and Girl Maid as pet looters. Not only are they cute, but they add lots of attributes to your stats as well as 200 extra equipment defense or weapon attack.

The new Sheng Xiao Chinese calendar animal pets also pack a punch of attributes. While temporary 7 day ones are available, the permanent versions are for limited time only and limited quantities. Otherwise, you may have to do hundreds of daily pet quests to collect Shengxiao Jades and Shengxiao Stones in order to obtain a permanent pet. According to the WOKF community, the Shengxiao Jades are a lot more harder to come by than the Stones, making them a lot more valuable.

Golden State Humane Society - Garden Grove, CA

I take all my pets to Golden State Humane Society in Garden Grove - which is a vet clinic, not a shelter. They offer low-cost services for dogs and cats. Though the clinic is always busy, their veterinary technicians are friendly and helpful.

My kitten was 5 weeks old when it was infested with worms in his tummy. So I took him to Golden State Humane Society to get him dewormed and deflea-ed. They offer Advantage and Advantage Multi monthly flea control. Also my kitten has gotten all his shots from there, and now only needs to visit yearly for his yearly booster shot.

Later I plan on taking the rest of my kittens to get them spay/neutered.

Umineko Cosplay - Anime Expo 2010

I cosplay as Jessica Ushiromiya. This summer I have been practicing my sewing skills to make her outfit... if worse comes to worst, I'll have a seamstress custom make the outfit.

Before then, I must find and join a Umineko cosplay group.

As for the blonde hair, I think I'll have to dye it blonde or *gasp* wear a wig. Most likely I'll dye my hair blonde, but I wonder how my boss will think of it.

Umineko Translations

Umineko is a manga based off a game that was quickly sold out at Japan's Comiket convention and is published by Square Enix. It's plot is set in the 1980's and revolves around a murder mystery. The storyline is rather complex, but I've been considering working on the translation project from Japanese to English language.

When I was 16, I used to do translations of popular Shonen Jump titles like Kenshin and Kochikame. So it's been while since I've been using that translation brain of mine.. hopefully I'm not too rusty. LOL.

My Cat Just Gave Birth To Kittens!

At around 9:30am this morning, my pregnant mommy cat started having contractions. About 20 minutes later, I hear her meow a very strange meow (sounded kind of like a dog howl), I look on the carpet and there was a small trail of water/mucuos.. My cat's water broke, and now she was freaking out, hyperventilating, having more contractions. She paced around the room restlessly for about 30 minutes before she had stronger contractions which forced out the first kitten. It was wonderful hearing the first little meow. She bit off the umbilical cord and took the kitten away to a hidden area by the fireplace. Within the next three hours, she gave birth to five other kittens, totaling six.

After my cat cleaned off the kittens, their fur dried out and I could see their coat patterns. So far most of them have an orangeish tint to their coat with black spots. They mewed alot at first but after mommy cat let them nurse on her milk, they became quiet. Wow, they are so cute. I'm so happy!! :)

Spice and Wolf II Episode 5

I recently got interested in Spice and Wolf season 2. So far, it's been a lot better than season one.

After watching Spice and Wolf II episode 4, I admit it was a bit uneasy to watch both Lawrence and Armati show their dark sides. But I guess they both fear losing Horo to each other. What surprised me the most was Horo signing the contract with Armati.

The storywriters have a great way throwing in plot twists for an anime series. It seems a lot more subtle and innocent compared to other series, like for example Nana.

So far so good.

World Of Kung Fu - Talisman Pearl & Soul Beads

In the World of Kungfu, the most powerful and sought-after items in the game are the Talisman Pearl and Soul Beads. These items prevent you from being stun-locked by Broadsword or Staff characters.

The Talisman Pearl can be obtained through defeating Wang Xi the Moon Blade in the Woods as a random drop - though an extremely rare drop.

Soul Beads can be obtained through achieving first place in the Legendary School Event for about 40 weeks.

Once in awhile the GMs can offer Talisman Pearl as random prize when opening Fortune Boxes but only when they announce that such a special event is going on.

I have spent countless hours in the Woods trying to obtain the Talisman Pearl but have been unable to get it so far.

World Of Kung Fu Wedding

There is nothing quite like the WOKF Wedding, a virtual marriage between online game characters. Here is a guide to getting married in the World of Kung Fu and the benefits of marriage.

First off you will need two engagement rings or two marriage packages from the Item Mall. The marriage packages, Happiness Package and Solemn Package, are more beneficial as they include bonus items at a discount, such as wedding rings that are useful when teleporting to your spouse.

Then if you'd like, you could tell all your virtual friends and buddies the time and day you will be married. When that time comes about, take both characters to the Liuhe Matchmaker to turn in your engagement rings. And Voila! Your virtual characters are married and announced to the server.

Banana Republic Dress - Summer 2007

Way back in the Summer of 2007, I remember the first Banana Republic dress I bought. Back then I could fit into a size 0 or size 1.. It was this wonderful Italian-stye striped in golden and silver rimmed dress. Being as optimistic as I was at the time, I foolishly bought the smallest size 00 thinking that I would somehow eventually lose the weight to fit into it. Boy, was I wrong. LOL!!

Now two years later, the dress is still in its plastic dust cover tucked away in my dresser. Though time has passed, the dress still looks fabulous.... though unfortunately I'm not a size 0 anymore but a size 1. Blame it on the stress of aging. =P

I'll post a picture of the dress once I get a better digital camera. My current digital camera just doesn't take the right pics to do it justice. Check back! ^^

Free DIY Cat Toys For Kittens

Here is a list of free do-it-yourself cat toy ideas you can find around the house that have been kitty-approved by my kittens (but might not for some cats though). :D

Pens - preferably ones without ink in them. For some reason kittens love pouncing on them. Reminds them of a little mouse?

Empty Soda Boxes - Kittens love playing hide-in-seek in these boxes. Be careful that you don't step on any of the boxes though, just in case little tiger's in there. :)

Plastic Wrapping - Oddly, the crinkly sound it makes gets their attention. Kittens can play with it for hours. Supervised, of course.

Paper Ball - After you finished your lunch or take out fast food, crinkle the bag up into a ball and roll it on the ground. Chances are your kitten will instictively learn to play soccor with it. ;)

Old Shoes - Smelly smelly old shoes = kitty playpen. LOL!!

Mineral Makeup and Lipstick

These days there has been a trend towards natural mineral makeup.

Yes, there are little to no chemicals in mineral makeup, yet without facial moisturizers they tend to dry out the face and look grainy.

So is the best thing to do not wear makeup or lipstick and stick to being a natural beauty?

Oh well, lesson learned.

World of Kungfu - Summer Swimsuit

Since it's summertime, figured what better time to buy a fitting outfit for my WOKF character - a blue swimsuit! It looks great, a lot better than most other fashion clothing she's worn.

Spice and Wolf Anime

Spice and Wolf is an anime series I recently got into. While it's not as action packed as other anime, the storyline attempts to make up for it by basing it heavily on economics and business.
The story revolves around the character Lawrence, a travelling merchant, and a harvest wolf deity named Horo who has the power to transform into beautiful human girl form. Lawrence agrees to accompany Horo back home to her hometown in the north. And so they begin their adventerous journey.

Some dialogue is a bit boring and tedious to follow, much of it revolving around business and economics. I have a feeling the author had nothing better to write about but to base it off European history.

Though the character Horo is cute and some of the storyline is a bit interesting, the overall impression I get is it's a dud.

ELF Nail Colors

At first when I first saw these nail colors on ELF's website, I thought "Oh wow, these must be high quality nail colors!". But when I tried them out, I was highly disappointed... the colors turned out dull and gunky. And in the garbage they went...

ELF Blushers

ELF blushers are highly pigmented but the colors are somewhat unnatural-looking and the quality of the powder is awful. I don't want to always be critizing ELF products, but you do get what you pay for.

ELF Personalized Compact

It costed $5 total for this ELF customized compact. I guess it isn't bad, except for its awfully plain design. I wouldn't be caught dead with this in my purse.

ELF Eye Shadow

ELF Eye Shadow isn't bad for it's price. This is actually one of their products that I don't mind. It is a bit hard though and I need to apply eye primer in order for it to go on smoothly. My favorite color combination is Luxe.
